Her current research involves Medical Devices and Manufacturing with applications in cancer surgery with Brian Anthony, Peter So, Mercedes Balcells-Camps, and Elazer Edelman. Outside of research, Rebecca enjoys baking, playing with her pup, and gardening.

FIONA (fionag AT mit)
Fiona is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering. She received her S.B. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in 2017. Her research is on the design and optimization of low-cost, solar-powered drip irrigation systems. Outside of research, her interests include baking, running and exploring the great outdoors.

Marie (floryanm AT mit)
Marie is a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering. She received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto. Her research is focused on developing microfluidic models of cancer metastasis with Roger Kamm. In her spare time, Marie enjoys playing sports, cooking, and exploring the outdoors.

Chuck (cxia_1 AT mit)
Chuck is a PhD Student in Mechanical Engineering. She has been at MIT since undergrad. She went through a lot of personal and academic ups and downs here at MIT, yet she stayed. She is here to listen and support you, offer her two cents if you are interested. Chat with her about her research and interests (both are food related) or share your research and interests with her (she is truly interested in all the cool things you are doing).

Autumn (ageil AT mit)
Autumn is a graduate student studying prosthetic foot design. She recevied her BS in Material Science and Engineering from MIT in 2021, and in her free time she enjoys making music, playing sports, and reading a good book with a nice cup of tea.

FACULTY ADVISOR

Prof. Maria Yang (mcyang AT mit)

For issues involving faculty members, it can be helpful to have another faculty member to speak to. Our faculty mentor, Prof. Yang, who is the Gail E. Kendall Professor and MIT D-Lab Faculty Academic Director, and the Associate Dean of Engineering, is a resource you can turn to in such cases.
